Patience Ozokwor famously known as Mama G, was born on September 14th, 1958. Currently, she is 64 years old(as of 2012) and a veteran Nollywood actress who has featured in many successful home movie and can also be regarded as one of the oldest in the Nigerian movie industry.

Aside being an actress, Mrs. Ozokwor (Mama G) is a part-time singer and philanthropist. She is famous for her role as a wicked woman in most of her home movies.

Patience Ozokwor attended Abimbola Gibson Memorial School in Lagos before pursuing a Fine and Applied Arts degree at the Institute of Management and Technology, a popular polytechnic in Enugu State, Nigeria and after her graduation, Patience Ozokwor took to teaching. Her first job was a teaching job at WTC Secondary School in Enugu. A job she did for four years before opting for a broadcasting job with Nigerian Television Authority (NTA).

While at NTA (which is considered Africa’s largest Tv network), she was part of a soap opera by the Nigerian Television Authority (NTA) titled “Someone Cares” which gained public attention.

Later, Patience Ozokwor was part of Chika Okpala’s crew for a commercial. Her role in the commercial caught the attention of Chief Zebrudaya and several other Nollywood directors, who ushered her into acting.

Patience Ozokwor has since been a household face among movie lovers as she has had the opportunity to share the screen with top Nigerian actors like Pete Edochie, Chinedu Ikedieze (Aki), Late Sam Loco Efe, Osoufia (Nkem Owoh), and Osita Iheme (Pawpaw), amongst others.

She recently starred as Madam Pat in the Mo Abudu Netflix movie “Chief Daddy (2018)”, “Chief Daddy 2” and “Going for Broke (2022)”.

Mama G (Patience Ozokwor) was married to late Emeka Ani as a teenager and their union was blessed with three kid (alongside one adopted child) making a total of four (4) children.

Patience Ozokwor was a recipient of the Best Supporting Actress award in 2012 & 2013 at the Africa Movie Academy Awards (AMAA).
